About the Branch

The Exeter and South Devon branch of the Communist Party of Britain was re-founded in October 2009.

While most of the branch's activities are concentrated in Exeter, we cover the whole of south Devon, including Plymouth.

So far our activities have included street stalls in Exeter High Street, and film nights at the Exeter Phoenix Centre. The branch works with the Cuba Solidarity Campaign hosting films, all of which are either about Cuba or are Cuban productions.

We are working to raise the profile of the branch and of the Party in Devon, reaching out to other left wing and anti imperialist organisations in the area.

Branch members in Plymouth have founded the "Plymouth Morning Star Readers and Supporters Group" in order to raise the profile and funds for Britain's only daily socialist newspaper. You can contact them at plymouthmorningstar@gmail.com.

For anyone interested in joining the branch, or if you have a general inquiry, please contact us via the main party website, or email: southwest@communist-party.org.uk
